As part of the R&D team, you’ll work on the back-end of our product, in other words on all the elements that communicate with the robots: parking manager, API, database, airports, monitoring, and more. You’ll work closely with the other members of the tech team (mechatronics and onboard software).

Requirements

We’re looking for a passionate and curious developer who enjoys working on back-end services and would like to carry on learning more. A fearless yet humble person who can challenge themselves and communicate well with others. We’re also looking for:

o      Strong theoretical background (algorithm, modeling, architecture).

o      Focus on high quality code.

o      Ability to learn and teach.

o      Desire to work as part of a team.

No qualifications required, passion and skill are all you need!

Highly appreciated

o      Minimum 5 years Java experience.

o      Microservices experience (API REST, Protobuf, gRPC, messaging…).

o      Distributed development (redundancy, resilience, tracing, monkey testing…).

o      Comfortable with Linux shell and Git.

Appreciated

o      Good knowledge of Python and/or Go.

o      Experience developing HCI web (Js, CSS, HTML).

o      Experience of deployment on Amazon AWS or Google Cloud.

o      Machine Learning experience.

o      Image recognition experience.

SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER (FOR MOBILE ROBOTS)

Us

Stanley Robotics is a highly ambitious robotics start-up launched in January 2015. Set to revolutionise the car-parking world with an automated valet service, our robots can move any vehicle. We don’t just want to make the experience of car parking better; we want to get rid of it altogether!

Do you want to join a team in Paris that is brimming with energy, committed to a mission and on a highly innovative entrepreneurial adventure? Do you want to grow in a high-level tech environment with no constraints? Do you want to bring your energy to a company with global ambition?

Your challenge

MAKE OUR ROBOT STAN BECOME A ROBUST INDUSTRIAL PRODUCT.

You will lead our mechatronics team and ensure that QCD targets are met. You will organize a structured process to reach the team goals, internally and with our partners. Aware of innovations, you will also make Stan grow rapidly in performance. Last but not least solid quality assurance and maintenance plans will be introduced under your guidance.

You

FIRST AND FOREMOST, YOU HAVE AN EXCEPTIONAL MIND-SET.

You are a proven fighter. You are committed to making SR a world leader in car parking that moves twice as fast as the competition. You have the willingness and the energy to go the extra mile even when things get tough. You never give up and you’re not scared of being wrong. You’re an optimist. You love getting things done quickly just as much as you love technical feats. You embrace the challenges set by management and defend our growth interests. A team player, you arrive with a smile in the morning and have a ‘can-do attitude’. You don’t say ‘it’s impossible’ but ‘right, this is a journey to the impossible, how will we get there’. You are a doer.

With a background in engineering (Msc or PhD in Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics), you have proven your worth with at least 10 years of experience in vehicle mechanical/electrical development (ideally AGV). Now you would like to see yourself building unique one-tonne robots.

From a technical standpoint, you have an extensive expertise in robust mechanics and electronics, in system engineering and in project development (keywords #planning #anticipation). In-depth knowledge of quality assurance processes, robotics, perception sensors, thermal engineering, battery systems, maintenance aspects, management, would clearly be good add-ons. Automotive background is highly welcome.

You understand and are excited by the challenge of working with a startup. Your technical and communication skills mean you will be able to communicate easily internally and with our partners. When you come up against a problem, you communicate easily. You’re highly flexible and you are a fast learner.  Autonomous, you’re not afraid of getting your hands dirty. You are comfortable in English.

PERCEPTION ENGINEER FOR OUTDOOR ROBOTS

Us

Stanley Robotics is a highly ambitious robotics start-up launched in January 2015. Set to revolutionise the car-parking world with an automated valet service, our robots can move any vehicle. We don’t just want to make the experience of car parking better; we want to get rid of it altogether!

Already seeing strong growth with several key accounts (car parking providers), Stanley Robotics has raised equity from big name investors and in 2017 will be rolling out several large-scale projects.

Your challenge

The first key building block in making a robot work is knowing where it is. You will be in charge of setting up, testing and integrating an outdoor localization solution with centrimetric precision using a GPS RTK.

To improve the robustness of this solution, you will fuse data with odometry and an inertial unit.

The weather must not affect the solution performance, nor its precision. In this way, you will make sure it is waterproof, windproof, ..

We strive to make you work on what you're best at.

ROBOTICS EXPERT ENGINEER (ROS)

Us

Your challenge

It can be summed up in four words: MAKE THE ROBOTS MOVE.

You will create and make sure our robots get a robust, custom ROS architecture.

With the ‘robot software’ team, you will help develop a unique path planning for a non-holonomic robot, taking into account both static and dynamic obstacles. Then, you will set, test and approve adapted command and control strategies and do all you can to improve performance in the robot’s movements while making sure both the robot and the infrastructure have maximal security at all times.

We strive to make you work on what you're best at.
