En 2013, Cl\u00e9ment Boussard et Aur\u00e9lien Cord se sont rencontr\u00e9s dans un laboratoire universitaire, apr\u00e8s des ann\u00e9es de projets post-doctoraux sur les v\u00e9hicules autonomes. \u00c0 l\u2019\u00e9poque, on racontait partout que toutes les voitures seraient autonomes d\u2019ici \u00e0 2020. Cl\u00e9ment et Aur\u00e9lien voyaient les choses autrement: ils pensaient que les meilleurs v\u00e9hicules autonomes ne seraient pas des voitures volantes, mais des syst\u00e8mes imm\u00e9diatement applicables, qui r\u00e9pondraient \u00e0 une demande bien\u00a0sp\u00e9cifique.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Peut-\u00eatre m\u00eame qu\u2019il n\u2019est pas n\u00e9cessaire que toutes les voitures soient autonomes. Il suffirait peut-\u00eatre de quelques petits malins dans le lot. Un jour, Cl\u00e9ment a vu des techniciens d\u00e9placer des voitures sur un site de production. Aur\u00e9lien et Cl\u00e9ment ont r\u00e9alis\u00e9 qu\u2019un robot pouvait fournir \u00e0 une voiture l\u2019intelligence dont elle a besoin pour \u00eatre autonome, aller se garer, et gagner de l\u2019espace, du temps et de l\u2019argent. Et ce robot-l\u00e0 ne resterait pas gar\u00e9 98% du temps, comme c\u2019est le cas pour la moyenne des voitures individuelles. Cl\u00e9ment et Aur\u00e9lien ont fond\u00e9 Stanley Robotics en 2015 pour nourrir cette ambition. Ils ont mis au point le premier prototype de Stan, un robot autonome qui gare les voitures, associ\u00e9 \u00e0 un logiciel de gestion de flotte, \u00e9galement fait\u00a0maison.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Leur premier projet avec les a\u00e9roports de Paris a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019hiver 2015. En 2017, Stanley Robotics a lanc\u00e9 un tour de financement de s\u00e9rie A. Idinvest, BPI France et Elaia se sont joints \u00e0 l’aventure. De nouvelles versions des robots Stan et de son logiciel ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9es, les rendant plus rapides, plus intelligents et plus aptes \u00e0 manipuler avec soin presque toutes les voitures.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Peu apr\u00e8s, les A\u00e9roports de Lyon et Stanley Robotics ont sign\u00e9 un partenariat strat\u00e9gique pour d\u00e9ployer une technologie de voiturier autonome dans les grands parkings ext\u00e9rieurs. En 2020, d\u2019autres a\u00e9roports (Gatwick \u00e0 Londres, B\u00e2le-Mulhouse) ont fait appel \u00e0 nos services de voiturier autonome. Le site de Lyon Saint-Exup\u00e9ry a \u00e9t\u00e9 agrandi. Mais \u00e0 ce moment-l\u00e0, la crise sanitaire \u00e9loignait les voyageurs des a\u00e9roports.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Cette situation fut l\u2019occasion d\u2019\u00e9tendre les applications de Stan: les secteurs du transport et de la logistique \u00e9taient justement en pleine transformation vers la digitalisation, l\u2019automatisation et la robotisation. Stan le robot s\u2019est av\u00e9r\u00e9 tr\u00e8s utile pour gagner de l\u2019espace, du temps et de l\u2019argent.
